TRAVEL CALIFORNIA SHOWCASE

• Filmmakers of all ages may submit their short film, 7 minutes in length or less including credits, to the Showcase.

• Must address three sentiments within their story:
  • 1.  I want to travel in California
  • 2.  Traveling in California is Great
  • 3.  I want to go to California

• Must feature: attractions, history or culture

• Must be filmed in California

• Submissions must be entered no later than October 30, 2010

• Submission fee is $50

• Must be in English – or have English Subtitles (ex:  Foreign visitors to CA)

• Must have all music clearances and talent releases – anyone on film must have releases.


• Films selected will be included in several showcases starting in December 2010

• Films submitted but not selected will be included in the ONLINE MARKETPLACE


• Viewers may vote for their favorites.  Both from the show and from the Marketplace.
  • Top voted films will be included in judging
  • Special Winners Showcases will be broadcast to millions of homes throughout the State – and online
  •  
    • Viewers vote again for their favorites
  •  
    • Winners will be chosen in 4 categories by industry pro’s on our Showcase Committee which includes Industry pro’s and Travel Pros
  •  
    • Prizes awarded in 4 categories. Best Film, Best Director, Best Cinematography, Best Editing
    • Top winners are broadcast again with interviews, etc.
